New England and Upstate New York! Some of the most unique places, dynamically showing the four seasons. I have renamed my Fall Foliage Page 'New England and Upstate New York'. Growing up in New England (Go Sox and Pats!) and living in Upstate New York within an hour's drive to Lake George, Bennington, Vermont, and Western Massachusetts, it seemed fitting to rename this page. This renaming opens the door for me to post other art work depicting the natural world. The first addition is the Covered Bridges of Vermont and New Hampshire. This takes us back to the times of  transportation by horse and buggy. When you pass by or go over a red covered bridge who can't think of carefree times of an era past-- but not gone. Later this summer or Fall I hope to catch more of the covered bridged and post them on this site. Enjoy!

Fall Colors              The Basin        Covered Bridges

Fall Colors. Pictures taken in upstate New York, Vermont, and Maine.
Killington, Vt. looking  over peaks.  M8:On the road on Rt 7, Vermont

M16: Maple in East Berne, NY M7: Good Picking at Indian Ladder Farms, Voorisville, NY
NH4  2 second exposure on Loon Mountain gives this striking image of the trees, mountains, and sky. M30 Fall is coming in the waning days before Fall officially begins. This sugar maple taken in Berne, NY

These pictures from The Basin formed 15 million year's ago. The smooth base is formed by whirling water from a waterfall. For more info go to The Basin at Franconia Notch State Park

NH10  Taken by the Basin, a slow shutter speed combines the water, rocks, and forest floor.
NH5 I have chosen to show The Basin in long exposures to bring out the beauty of the water's flow as well as bring out the smooth rocks formed at the base.
NH6 Basin  Slow motion combined with moving from wide to tele mode.
NH8  Henry David Thorough once remarked on a visit that this was possibly the most unique part of New Hampshire. I can not capture the charm and quiet of the entire basin. I hope these pictures brings some awe to this splendid sight.
NH9 Rock and falls formations just across from the basin.

Covered Bridges of Vermont and New Hampshire. In these pictures I will show a traditional red covered bridge as we all know and then concentrate on different angles and views one will see if they stop and take a look around. Enjoy.

TB 1- Traditional View of the Silk Bridge TB 2- Traditional View pf the Henry Bridge
TB3- Looking inside the bridge with the sun's reflection entering through the opposite side. TB4- The area around the outside the bridge is as intriguing as inside!
TB 5- Paper Mill Bridge looking outside at a waterfall.
TB 6-- Paper Mill Bridge
NH 2  Built for transportation in the mid 1800's, this was restored in the 1970's/ Nestled in the woods in Albany, New Hampshire.
NH 3   Nestled in the woods of Albany, New Hampshire.
NH4  If you want to go to Jackson, NH (population 900) from route 16 you will need to go through this well kept wooden bridge. The following shots taken during the day or evening.
NH6  Jackson bridge at night in black and white
NH8  Jackson Bridge at night. Picture not edited.
