Sol Kahn Memorial Book Award was created in honor of Sol who was a member of the class of 2006.  He passed away following a battle with leukemia in 2006 just short of his nineteenth birthday.  Sol is remembered for so many things and those essential elements of his personality and being are embodied in this award.  This award is given to an upper school student whose first thought is for others and for whom bettering the community of which he is a part is second nature.  It is also for that student who, like Sol, is a teacher for all of us through his actions and deeds.
